چکیده
Abstract Background The aim of this study was to assess the ability using mean computed tomography (mCT) values predict non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumor recurrence. Methods A retrospective conducted on 494 patients with stage IA NSCLC. Receiver operating characteristics analysis used use mCT value, C/T ratio, size, and SUV Multiple logistic regression analyses were performed determine independent variables for prediction Results m-CT ? 213.7 ± 10.2 Hounsfield Units (HU) recurrence group 594.1 11.6 HU non-recurrence ( p < 0.0001). Recurrence occurred in 45 (9.1%). strongly associated a high CT attenuation large solid SUV. diagnostic value more accurate than excluding pure ground-glass opacity (0 ratio 100) groups. are predictive factors Conclusions evaluation useful predicting after limited resection small-sized NSCLC, may potentially contribute selection suitable treatment strategies.

Value of Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET-CT) in Suspected Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Recurrence and Impact on Patient Management
INTRODUCTION Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET-CT) is very sensitive for diagnosis of recurrent NSCLC and has a significant impact on change of management. Preliminary data suggest superiority of PET-CT comparing to CT alone for lung cancer restaging. MATERIALS AND METHODS This is a retrospective study which aim is to validate usage of PET-CT in suspected non-small cell lu...
متن کاملStaging of non-small-cell lung cancer with integrated positron-emission tomography and computed tomography.
BACKGROUND We compared the diagnostic accuracy of integrated positron-emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) with that of CT alone, that of PET alone, and that of conventional visual correlation of PET and CT in determining the stage of disease in non-small-cell lung cancer. METHODS In a prospective study, integrated PET-CT was performed in 50 patients with proven or suspected...
متن کاملInvolvement of FoxM1 in non-small cell lung cancer recurrence.
BACKGROUND Predictive biomarkers for lung cancer recurrence after curative tumor resection remain unclear. This study set out to assess the role of FoxM1 in the recurrence of non-small cell lung cancer. METHODS Immunohistochemistry for FoxM1 expression was performed on paraffin-embedded tumor tissues from 165 NSCLC patients. Association of FoxM1 expression with clinicopathological parameters ...
متن کاملThe value of contrast-enhanced computed tomography in evaluating patient response to Icotinib for non-small cell lung cancer
We aimed to evaluate the value of contrast-enhanced Computed Tomography (CT) imaging in analyzing the therapeutic effects of icotinib for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Forty-five patients with histologically proven NSCLC underwent contrast-enhanced CT scanning before and after therapy with icotinib. All the data were automatically analyzed, and changes in each parameter before and after t...

This study sought to compare the differences in target volumes and dose distributions to the targets and organs at risk (OARs) between a four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT)-based respiratory-gated intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plan (PlanEOE) and a three-dimensional CT (3DCT)-based IMRT plan (Plan3D) in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). For 17 patients with...
